Agnes Zoni was born in Szabadka (formerly in Hungary), Yugoslavia. She immigrated to Canada in 1967 where she established her company, Atelier de ceramique Agnes Zoni in 1981. She lives and works in St-Lazare, Quebec. Her interest in art has been apparent since early adulthood. The many ceramic, pottery and porcelain courses and workshops in which she has participated are indicative of the continuing interest she has in this art medium. Instruction in all forms of drawing, painting, history of art and the many techniques have formed the pathway to the innovative and creative styles in her work today. She has exhibited her work in Ste-Hyacinthe, Boucherville, Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto, Ottawa, Columbus OH where se won an award and Fort Worth, TX.
Agnes Zoni est née à Szabadka, territoire de l`ancienne Yougoslavie qui faisait jadis partie de la Hongrie. Jeune femme arrivant au Canada en 1967, elle manifeste très tôt un vif intérêt pour l’Art. Subséquemment, elle monte en 1981 une entreprise sous le nom d’Atelier de céramique Agnes Zoni. Aujourd’hui, elle vit et travaille a Saint-Lazare au Québec. La céramique, la poterie et la porcelaine évoluent dans le temps et l’espace et Agnes Zoni n`a de cesse d’explorer les dernières innovations de cette forme d’art. De plus, les techniques de peinture, de dessin et l’histoire de l’art informant son quotidien et activent son esprit dans l’élaboration de ces pièces pleines d’inventivité et d’originalité. La production de Agnes Zoni a pu être admire au Canada, à Saint-Hyacinthe, Boucherville, Montreal, Québec (ville), Toronto et Ottawa et, aux États-Unis a Fort Worth (Texas) et a Columbus (Ohio), cette dernière exposition lui ayant valu un prix émérite.
